Chairman of the Board & Executive Director

Beatrice R. Holland is an experienced educator, former teacher, and community advocate with over 25 years of service supporting students and families, particularly within underserved communities. Her work has focused on strengthening educational outcomes, supporting diverse learning needs, and helping families navigate and engage more effectively in their children's education.

As a former Prince George's County Public Schools parent and education advocate, Mrs. Holland has firsthand experience working with children across a wide range of learning abilities, including students with emotional and behavioral challenges. Her approach is rooted in practical support, family engagement, and creating accessible learning opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom environment.

In her role as Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of TE - TURNAROUND EDUCATION, INC., Mrs. Holland leads the organization's efforts to provide community-based educational enrichment, outreach, and resources designed to empower families, expand opportunities for children, and strengthen academic support systems within underserved communities.

Mrs. Holland holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education and a Master of Arts in Community Health Promotion and Education from Trinity University in Washington, D.C., along with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from American University. She also holds PRAXIS certifications in Principles of Teaching and Learning and Special Education in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

In addition, she completed Nonprofit Management certification coursework at Prince George's Community College, focusing on nonprofit fundamentals, grant writing and management, fundraising, and nonprofit best practices.

Through both her professional background and lived experience, Mrs. Holland brings the leadership, practical knowledge, and community-centered perspective necessary to effectively guide the organization in carrying out its charitable mission.
